The Friendship Circle exists to bring happiness and companionship to children and young adults with special needs, by celebrating their individuality, as well as bringing energy, support, and peace of mind to their families. Friendship Circle chapters in local communities create meaningful relationships and friendships between teen volunteers and children with special needs, increasing confidence, igniting dreams, and redefining worldviews for both parties.

chose Team Friendship because this cause is deeply personal to me and my family.

When I got married in 2004, my wife was already working with children with special needs as a speech therapist. Over the years, she has dedicated her career to supporting special needs children and elderly individuals — first in India, then in the UAE, and now in the United States.

Through her work, I have seen the patience, compassion, and dedication required to support individuals with special needs and their families. It has given our family a deep appreciation for organizations that create inclusion, dignity.

I am running the New York City Marathon 2026 for them — for the children and families who need support, inclusion, and opportunity. This race is not just a personal challenge for me, but a way to give back to a cause that has been part of our lives for more than two decades.
