From August 2–6, 2026, I will be hiking in Alaska in support of Friendship Circle, a nonprofit that brings joy, connection, and companionship to children and young adults with special needs while offering vital support to their families. Friendship Circle’s work centers on celebrating individuality, building confidence, and creating meaningful relationships that truly change lives — for everyone involved.
This cause is especially close to my heart. The hike begins on August 2, which marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of my husband, Alex. While we were not married at the time of his passing, I was his primary healthcare provider during the last year of his life. Alex was also a devoted father to a child with special needs, who continues to be beautifully cared for by his incredible mother. Through that experience, I witnessed firsthand the importance of compassion, community, and unwavering support for families navigating extraordinary challenges.
This hike is both a physical journey and a deeply personal one — a way to honor love, resilience, and the power of showing up for one another. I am grateful for any support you’re able to offer, whether through a donation or by sharing this page.
Together, we can help create moments of connection, confidence, and joy for children, young adults, and families who deserve nothing less.
