Anyone who supports children with special needs and their families sees my heart in a real and raw way. Chaya (my niece) is 3 and is the love of our world. She lights up every room and has made me more sensitive to everything connected. Her siblings love her fiercely, and she’s opened our hearts in ways we didn’t know were possible. I feel like anyone who contributes to this trip is recognizing the blessing that children with special needs are—while also supporting me personally in accomplishing my crazy hikes.
