On August 21-22, join Team Friendship for a one-of-a-kind adventure. Pedal for an amazing cause that empowers a dynamic community of love, support, and belonging for children and individuals with special needs. Feel the excitement and thrill while riding alongside tens of fellow Team Friendship cyclists! You will conquer mile after mile of famous Great Lakes views. Friends, family, and the entire community will gather at the finish line to celebrate your accomplishment with you.

RIDE INFO
ITINERARY + ROUTE


Day 1: RIDE TO KOHLER, WI

Your journey will begin at the Friendship Circle Wisconsin in Fox Point, WI at 10 AM! We will then be off on our 60-mile adventure from Fox Point, WI to Kohler, WI. We will take breaks between every 15-20 miles for cyclists to replenish snacks and drinks and make basic bike adjustments. We will be refueling for a lunch break about halfway through the ride. Once we arrive at Kohler in the afternoon, we will get settled in our hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner. We will then relax in the comfort of our hotel before getting a good night’s sleep in preparation for day two of Bike Great Lakes.

Day 2: RIDE TO DOOR COUNTY, WI

We will wake up from a well night’s rest and eat a nourishing breakfast before we begin day two of Bike Great Lakes at 8 AM! We will take breaks between every 15-20 miles for cyclists to replenish snacks and drinks and make basic bike adjustments. We will be refueling for a lunch break about halfway through the ride. Once we nourish our bodies we will then finish the remainder of the miles and celebrate our victory in Door County, WI at 6 PM at the latest.

SUPPORT & MORE


Upon arrival, we will have a check-in booth where cyclists will receive their Bike Great Lakes jersey and will be able to check in their gear. Cyclists will leave all luggage and extra gear in the luggage trailer. Cyclists can leave any extra belongings including clothing, sunscreen, own snacks, and essential items with the SAG (Support and Gear) vehicle and have access to the vehicle along the route and at lunch.

Bicycle mechanics will be present at both the starting line, to help with any last-minute details, and along the route. They will be equipped to provide help with flats and any small repairs that are needed. If a cyclist has something break on their bike other than a small repair, we can sometimes find it at a local bike shop on the route. 

Please note: Cyclists are responsible for any additional costs to their bikes along the route.

SAFETY

There will be multiple vehicles following the bike route including a SAG (Support and Gear) vehicle and Wilderness First Aid (WFA) responders.

Cyclists will have the guide numbers and can be picked up if they need a break, need to be advanced up the route due to time constrictions, or have a bike issue.

Cyclists will be spread out over time due to varying riding speeds. 

 
TRANSPORTATION


The majority of the traveling will be on the seats of the bicycles. The routes will be well marked and easy to follow. All cyclists will have access to the route on their phones with the Ride With GPS cycling route app.

Transportation from Door County back to Milwaukee will be provided. 

You can either ship your bike to the hotel you are staying at the night before or rent a bike locally.

 MEALS 
 

All meals will be strictly kosher and designed to provide cyclists with sufficient energy for the ride. A full breakfast will be served before the ride in the morning. Lunch will be nutritionally designed to keep you going throughout the ride. A hot dinner will be served every night.

FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS

The minimum fundraising requirements are (4 options):
Pay $2,100 to cover your costs + fundraise as much as you can for Friendship Circle! 
The standard Package: Fundraise $4,200
The Premium Package: Fundraise $5,000
Local Track (for local Wisconsin riders living in the greater Milwaukee area): Fundraise $1,250

The fundraising minimums include:
Standard Package- $4,200 Premium Package- $5,000
*One-night hotel stay in Destination Kohler.
*Gourmet catered meals.
*Well supported and safe ride.
*Two Team Friendship bike jerseys.
* Pre-ride Coaching support.
This package takes the planning off your head! This includes the Standard Package as well as the details below:
* Reservation at the Fairfield by Marriot for Saturday night, August 20th.**
* Reservation at the Fairfield by Marriot for Monday evening, August 22nd.**
* Bike shipping
**This arrangement will allow you to begin and end the ride well-rested. The Fairfield by Marriot is conveniently located near Friendship Circle of Wisconsin.

The fundraising minimums cover all expenses during the trip. Cyclists are responsible for their transportation to and from Milwaukee, and standard cyclists are responsible for shipping or renting their own bike and bike gear. 

All registrants will receive exclusive fundraising resources and guidance from our Fundraising Coach.
